“After many years of treating patients, what has become crystal clear is that every single person, no matter what their background or where they're from, every human being has a unique and fascinating story. I love listening to people tell me about themselves and getting to know them not just on a dental level, but on a human level.” – Dr. Tucker

Dr. Lloyd Tucker has been licensed and practicing for more than 30 years, but his first experience in dentistry was “working” alongside his father at the family dental practice in Pittsburgh when he was just seven years old. He does not remember a time when he didn't want to be a dentist. It was in his genes!

Today, after countless procedures and hours of continued training, what is of most value to Dr. Tucker are the relationships he’s made throughout his career.

Education and Accolades

  • Doctorate of Medical Dentistry: University of Pennsylvania
  • General Practice Residency: The Jewish General Hospital of Montreal
  • Certificate of Proficiency in Periodontics: University of Washington
  • Master of Science in Dentistry: University of Washington

Dr. Tucker has training, knowledge, and experience in numerous aspects of periodontal treatment and dental implants at a level that very few other clinicians have. He travels nationally and internationally to attend the most advanced, cutting-edge, and prestigious continuing education programs that exist.

In additional being a former Editor of the Seattle Study Club Journal and a current Advisor of the International Association of Dental Specialists, Dr. Tucker serves as President of the Olympic Peninsula Dental Society, the local branch of the American Dental Association. His professional affiliations include:

  • American Dental Association
  • Washington State Dental Association

Outside the Office

Dr. Tucker is the proud father of three sons, Aryel, Refael, and Eliad, each of whom has grown into a man of strong character, a source of immense pride. He also has a wonderful daughter-in-law, Batya, and looks forward, with a bit of humor and hope, to the day that number may grow to three.

His greatest joy, however, may be his role as grandfather to the “most adorable granddaughter in the world,” Anaelle, a title he insists is given with absolutely no bias whatsoever.

In his free time, Dr. Tucker is rarely still. He can often be found sprinting on a middle school track or on the ski slope in the winter. He enjoys hiking in the mountains year-round, even when the weather isn’t cooperating, and is no stranger to old-fashioned tent camping, having spent countless nights in national parks across the country with his sons.

Dr. Tucker’s religious community forms the foundation of his life and values. He is always open to a thoughtful conversation about the Old Testament.

Beyond his spiritual life, Dr. Tucker is an avid reader with a deep interest in history. If he had not pursued dentistry, he often jokes that he might have become a linguistics professor somewhere in academia. His fascination with languages began in middle school and has continued ever since. He speaks fluent German, passable French, and is steadily working toward mastering Spanish with enthusiasm.
